My “Bad Virgin Hair” Experience!

Broke Girls Diaries, parent family fashion, Pay It Forward, Reviews

Hey guys!  I wanted to stop by with a quick story about my bad virgin hair experience with a virgin hair company. Before I get into this story, I want to tell you guys about my displeasure with the company’s product. It’s not to bash the company, it’s just to inform you before you purchase from this company.

So in 2011, I was out to eat and I met this young lady. We started to talk about weaves. I love to meet a girl who knows about hair so that I can learn more. I was telling her about my install and how i felt that the hair in my head had been processed. I’m ok with processed Indian Hair just tell me before you charge me. She recommended a site to me that sold quality virgin hair, The Virgin Hair Fantasy.  Well I don’t just go by the word of mouth alone, I went to YouTube. Also, she hadn’t purchased the hair yet. She was going by what she seen in her friend’s head.

The same hair  straightened after a month of wear.  Yall don’t go in on my eyebrows lolx.

After seven months of wear and straighten. This “Indian Virgin Hair” always returned to its “natural ” wave pattern but I didn’t like the wave pattern that it had.

My  Virgin Hair Fantasy Experience

What Made Me Buy:

I typed in on YouTube “The Virgin Hair Fanstay” and a slew of good videos came up. I kept visiting the website and watching reviews. At this time, I was new to the YouTube review game. What I did not know was most of these ladies ( well actually all that I had seen at the time) received their for FREE!  So not seeing any bad reviews on this company  seeing nothing but positivity on their website and wanting “The Virgin Hair Fantasy” t-shirt, in March 2012, I gave in and purchased the hair! I purchase two bundles of their Brazilian Virgin Body Wave in 16 and 18 inches! I also purchased a 14 inch Brazilian Virgin Body Wave closure. I went with 2 bundles because of the length and the size of my head. I would love the whole Dianna Ross look but at that time I worked for a boss who was not trying to allow my greatness, lolx.

The Price:

I actually had my pricing wrong in my head before I had started to write this piece. I am glad that I am an email hoarder!  You will see an invoice inserted in this post. Yes, it is my actual invoice that was emailed to me. Back to the subject at hand. I paid 481.89 for two bundles and a closure. Now to break it down on the price here goes. For the 16 inch bundle the price was 145.00. The 18 inch was 155.00. The 14 inch closure was 140.00. Now I needed my hair done by the weekend so I asked for next day shipping and the price of that was 41.89.

This is my invoice. No I did not copy and paste an invoice from google either.

Receiving The Hair

I honestly didn’t think that the hair would come before Friday but it did! I had ordered on the 13th or 14th and received it on the 15th. I just remember it was a week day because I had to go in to work at 11am that day. Anyways, the hair came Fed Ex and my grandaddy was here to pick it up. When I finally came in from work that night I was excited to see my package! Back in those days, TVHF was sending the hair in Robin Egg Blue style envelopes with the TVFH dolls sticker used to tape it close, well at least that’s how mine came. On the front of the envelope was a label stating what was inside. Almost like the Avery mailing labels you buy. I honestly can’t describe the smell of the hair, it didn’t smell bad like the infamous corn chip smell but it smelled like something I had smelled before in hair. If that makes any sense. Inside of the package also contained two other things and guess what one of them wasn’t, The Virgin Hair Fantasy shirt! I was confused. I thought that everyone who bought the hair received a shirt as a thank you. I wasn’t reviewing the hair for them, so no shirt for me. They did give me a handwritten thank you note with the TVFH dolls on the front and a church flyer style hair care instruction sheet. You’re  Welcome The Virgin Hair Fantasy!

Who Styled My Hair

Now you guys remember at the beginning of the story when I stated that I was rocking the “virgin indian hair” so the stylist who sold it to me was claiming, well I was not making the same mistake twice and going back to her.  I wanted the best in Anderson County and probably the in our whole state of SC to do my “real virgin weave.” Who is the best you may ask, Well it is Ms. Kalisha West of Kalisha’s Creations! She has worked with stars such as Beyonce and Angie Stone, just to name a few, so I knew I would be in good hands. My good friend works for her so I messaged her to ask her how could I get an appointment. Well it just so happened that the owner was on vacation so my friend offered to do my hair. I agreed. I had known Kamisha for over 10 years so I trusted her.

Just to give a side note about Kalisha’s Creation, it is a very good salon. I say this because all of her stylist, including herself,f go through extensive training to not only provide the latest and greatest in styles  but they provide each customer with proper hair care. My real hair was actually healthy under my sew-in and grew the longest that I had seen it grow in two years.

When I got there, I showed her the list that was provided by TVHF for styling and maintenance of the hair. She followed all of them but one, sealing the wefts. Now I am not throwing fault at her at all. If you watch the virgin hair fantasy review videos to this day, I will say 99% of the ladies reviewing this hair will say that they “DID NOT” seal their wefts. They will also state how little the hair sheds.

The hair

This hair shed like  none other. I was ok with a little bit of shedding but when people know that you have been in a spot because you left hair there, that’s not cool at all! I was not trying to mark any territory. I had clogged my drains in my house, just from getting in the shower and wetting my hair. The hair matted and tangled even in the closure. I brushed the hair daily and it still tangled. I know that all weave has the tangle  potential, especially curly but this was something so new to me. I tried every product that I could think of and still no luck. Even after my install time was up, I took the hair out of my head and let it sit in detangling shampoo over night and tadaaa… nothing. The hair, just in case you were wondering, is in the trunk of my granddaddy’s car.  His car is in the shop but look at the pictures. My hair looks a lot thinner due to the shedding and matting.

20131111-143602.jpg

It’s blurry but you can see the hair. This is the first day of my install. I had just left the salon. The hair is in its natural state and we used both bundles and the closure. The Virgin Hair Fantasy Hair.

20131111-143633.jpg

The second day of my install. I was at my sisters baby shower. The hair was already shedding then. No that is not my boyfriend, lolx.  The Virgin Hair Fantasy Hair

One month after my install. My closure had started matting so bad that started pushing back and the part was no longer showing. See how flat the hair started looking! The Virgin Hair Fantasy Hair

One month before removing this hair finally in June. Compare the hair to the first install which was in March. Its thin and sparse.  The closure is matted.

The Bad Truth About My Whore Hair

So the funniest thing happened after my hair fiasco! I went back to YouTube to figure out what I had done wrong with the hair and all kinds of “The Virgin Hair Fantasy” videos were popping up. Even the bad ones. So then I started to learn about “The Guru Game.”  Women who had paid for the hair was telling the truth about this hair. Some of the videos were made before bought the hair. “How did I miss these videos?”  I thought to myself. Well for one, I only typed in the name of the company. When I type in “Bad Virgin Hair Fantasy” a good bit of videos came up. I wish I had known to type that in the box before purchasing this hair.

The Guru Game

Well those ladies that I watched the first go round were and some still are YouTube Gurus. How the Guru game works is that companies will  send out their best of the best merchandise  to Gurus for review. So yes, a lot of the times when Gurus give their “honest” opinion, it is just that. They are not receiving the same product that we are. That is why it’s always best to watch product reviews on hair and some other items that were purchased by someone who had to pay to get it. Now I am a business owner myself, so I understand why companies do it. You get a popular person with loads of views to review your product. Once they rave about your  product your sales go up. I would never do that because I have integrity. If you pay your hard earn money for something, You deserve the best product. I actually  let a friend of mine review one of my products for free and she received the same exact product as any paying customer would. Now I am not against gaining exposure, just send everyone the same product.  Let me know if you guys want me to write another post on how to find reviews.

Will I purchase hair from or recommend this company

Hell No! I will never waste anymore money with that company. They could send me free hair today and I still would not recommend them. When you find me 10 young ladies that paid for their hair with their hair earned money and says the same thing that Morgan Taylor or Lakiastar states about the hair, then I would maybe recommend their product. What prompted me to write this post was the women who were posting about their bad experiences in the comment sections of many of these Guru’s videos. The funny thing is, if you make a  negative truth video with a lot of views they  will then want to rectify the situation with you.  What about these women who are commenting? I have commented on several videos and they have yet to extend any type of offer of exchange with me. Instead of sending the gurus good hair, how about taking a day and contacting the women who actually paid for crappy hair and offering them some of the good hair that you send out. It’s not like they hadn’t already paid for the hair. Now if you want to still purchase the hair after my review and story, that’s fine. You may actually have a better experience than I did. I am just sharing my story and my “Truth” about this company with you guys.

Now it’s Your Turn

Speak up and out! Let me hear some of your horror stories about some “virgin hair” companies. Has anyone who has paid for their hair from TVHF received what I like to call “guru style hair”? Did I leave out anything? If so, feel free to ask any questions below! Be sure to share your thoughts, opinions, stories or whatever you feel with me in the comment section below!

  1. WOW… I am sorry about your experience i have some friends that have gone through the same thing. This happens mainly because selller are not honest about the type of hair they are selling i dont think the hair you bought was virgin hair

    1. Thank you for reading. I actually read in the comment section on a YouTube channel that they send beauty supply store hair to paying customers. Not sure how true that is but I will say that yes that hair was not virgin.

  2. I bought two orders of clip ins From them $240 each plus tax and shipping. I’ve worn them once, already shedding, knotting up and I got custom color which was done incorrectly. They offered me to pau to ship them back so they could “fix” the hair. How do you fix poor quality? NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Waste of time energy and hundreds of dollars.

    1. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. That’s 500.00 plus gone down the drain on a product that should last you over a year plus according to that company and the “Gurus” that market the hair. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my post. I truly appreciate you sharing your story as well!

*Also I would like to ask you how did you find out about The Virgin Hair Fantasy and what influenced your initial purchase? ( Just Curious😃)*

    1. I’m glad that you ask that. I will say that due to that experience, I have been scared to purchase virgin hair from any of these companies. I will be purchasing a Vendor from Ali Express ( when I find one that meets my standards, lolx) so I will do a review on that hair for you guys.

  3. I saw a horror story of their silk based closure that went bald like someone threw acid on it, all their hair is heavily processed, it’s do hard to find a good hair company but my friends sister told me about a company that sells authentic Vietnamese hair, I think the company is XOXO Virgin Hair, I lurked their IG page and I’m really considering ordering from the testimonial I see on their page, tired of wasting money on hyped up ass companies.

    1. Oh my. See that makes me mad hearing that because the hair prices. I hope that someone shows them this post.

I will have to look into XOXO Virgin Hair too. Right now I am currently wearing hair from TD Hair. So far so good. I will be posting my first week update this weekend.

  4. That explains why they often put their hair for $99 a bundle up to 18″ lengths which I found suspicious. You just saved me almost $400… I’ll stick to my Duvessa though it’s not virgin but it works well for me so far

    1. You’re Welcome. 400 is a lot to just throw away, so I know exactly where you’re coming from. I’m currently wearing some virgin hair from TD Hair on Aliexpress and so far so good. Be sure to check back in about a month to see if I recommend this hair. ( I only paid 235 for 4 bundles and a closure)

  5. I haven’t tried this vendor, but I bought hair from Her Hair company last month. After a week, it was so matted and tangled and fused together that you couldn’t even brush it. I took it out and deep conditioned and had it re-installed to the same results before the day was out. So I had paid for 2 installs in 2 weeks. I never got to color it or flat iron it because the texture and quality was so bad. It was dry and course and I should have known something was wrong because it already had a reddish gold color to it. It wasn’t the natural brown of unprocessed virgin hair. Well, I called them thinking that they would do right by me because I’ve read that reputable companies will either refund you or replace your hair when you have a situation that is this bad. Verdict: they offered me no new hair and only refunded $100 or a $400 order. I will never ever order from them again and urge anyone not to do it. YT had nothing but good reviews, but people should look for blogs like this one before making purchases. I have bought hair from LBS that were better quality and lasted longer. I once wore a weave for 6 months that was bobbi boss remy and it was beautiful. Minimal shedding and I put lots of heat to it. My next stop is the BBB. Her Hair is BBB accredited and there are negative reviews that sound just like mine. They have mostly positive reviews on there but I’m sure those are from the YouTubers who have free hair to promote. The rep also said that they usually don’t refund like they were doing me a favor. Never again!

    1. Thank You for stopping by.:) I have heard horror stories about Her Hair company but only in the comment section of YouTube. I am appalled with how they treated you. It makes me wonder what hair companies can we trust?

      1. I have been reading hair reviews for DAYS and taking notes literally I have 3 pages written down. I prefer clip ins and have bought euronext, foxy locks, my fantasy hair, and dirty looks (which use to be headkandy). Euronext was the best but I had a friend recently purchase then and said they tangled etc so they must have a new vendor. So I can’t go back to them either way they only went up to 18″ and we’re thin but the others listed all tangled terribly after the first wash and foxy locks shrunk and fell apart absolutely terrible there was no bringing them back. So I want to make another set but I’m struggling to find a good brand. Right now I’m thinking bobbi boss but still i’m not confident in them. Do you have any suggestions for a good remy Indian brand? Your info would be GREATLY appreciated!

      2. Hey Ashley. Thanks for stopping by. I hear good things about the Bobbi Boss although I have never tried that brand. I am currently reviewing this hair that I purchased from TD hair. It’s good quality so far with the exception of the closure. The closure has this funny smell that you don’t notice unless you are close to it. It smells like it was some what burned. Be sure to check back with me in about two weeks for my final review.

Also before I go, I wanted to tell you that my mom purchased the Soprano brand hair so I can also check in with her to get feedback on that brand.

  6. Good post, but we noticed you did not have any information on safe removal of weaves or matted tangled hair after taking a weave out. We specialize in removing these styles without damaging or breaking the hair. Taking out hair weaves properly is just as important as adding the right hair in or maintaining extensions.

We offer products, training and services to protect and save hair when taking these styles out.

  7. It is disappointing to hear your bad experience. A great article with lots of information. I tried some Bazilian virgin hairs and they are really good. you can try.

  8. Ladies it also depends on how well hair is taken care of during installation. Try checking out allthings-hair.com or follow the instagram page. They always have great hair care tips, do reviews, and also promotions for hair companies with specials.

  9. There’s also a youtube channel where we they have videos of doing different hair related things 😉 make sure you check them out! All Things Hair

  10. DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM VIRGIN HAIR COMPANY THEY ARE CROOKS. COMPLETLY FULL OF SHIT. I have been wearing weaves for over 10 years and I have never had the crap quality I got from VIRGIN HAIR FANTASY. Not to mention I have never paid so much for hair. The tangling and matting at the base of the weave was horrendous. Save yourself time and money and do not buy from them. when I called to explains my concerns/complains YEYE was a completely rude and expressed that a manager was going to call me back, days went by and there was no follow up from anyone. Turns out she is the manager!! I am disgusted with their service and quality and WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. Save yourself the time and money and buy from elsewhere.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and reading the article. It still amazes me that this company has not gotten their act together after this post. I wrote this almost a year ago and I’m hearing new horror stories every month.

  11. Thank you for saving me time and most of all money. Friend told me today about this company, I always check reviews and never trust something that sounds too good to be true I.e YouTube gurus. Any chance you can direct me the best place to get good hair. I am thinking of Aliexpress but I feel like too many directions but don’t know where it’s best to turn to. I am so glad I read your blogs and feedbacks you guys have saved my ass. Lol

    1. Tracy,
Thank You for stopping by. I purchased hair from TD hair on Aliexpress and it just started shedding due to the fact that I cut the wefts. I used it to make a u part wig back in January/February and I wore it non stop through May. Minimal shedding and like I stated earlier I just started seeing more shedding due to cutting the wefts. I plan on wearing it to my sister’s baby shower this week, so I will do an updated post on the hair. Be sure to subscribe and follow me on Instagram, @luluchris58blog, for the update. ❤️❤️❤️

  12. Wow sorry about your bad hair experience! I’ve had a few myself where the hair didn’t make it past 3 months. But I’ve found this hair store that sells really great virgin hair at pretty low prices. I bought my hair from Butler Hair Bundle Supply (http://www.bhbsupply.com), you should check them out. I’m on month 6 and the curls are still holding strong!

  13. I wish I saw this review before I purchased the hair. I just ordered hair from virgin hair fantasy based on the videos they have on IG, received the hair and installed it shortly afterwards. It had the worst smell while tonging and I was actually embarrassed in the salon for having hair smell that nasty! It also she’d like crazy from just curling it! The hair is definitely not the real deal. I’m tempted to report this to the better business bureau cause my order cost me just under 600 dollars plus I still had to pay customs duties on it.

    1. KG,
Thank you for stopping by. Im sorry you had to go through that horrible experience. I would say that the right move would be to report them to the BBB along with letting others know your story.

      1. I have filed the complaint with BBB but VHF are yet to respond. I know it’s been posted on the BBB site. I think more of these complaints need to be filed. When I complained to VHF directly, they apologized and offered to send products to “fix the hair” which is utter bullocks cause the issue is the fact that the hair isn’t authentic and no shampoo or conditioner can”fix” that!

      2. Exactly! I totally agree that the hair has no fix. I wish that I would had known that I could have filed a complaint with the BBB over three years ago. You took the right action. Hopefully they will take notice and start trying to send out the quality of hair that we are paying for. Thank you for stopping by.

      3. http://www.hairargentina.com is tried and tested over and over again. I solemnly swear by them.

Meanwhile, VHF’s response to my BBB report made me even madder. So unsympathetic!!!

      4. I know that they have seen this blog post. There is a lady who commented on this post saying that her hair , colored by The Virgin Hair Fantasy, was terrible after two weeks. So now they can say they have two complaints. Their response to you has made me angry as well. That is the reason I did not try to reach out to them to rectify the situation.

  14. Horrible horrible hair. Yeye will lie about whatever is coming out of her mouth. 360$ spent & they sent me a beautiful closure picture & was sent a local beauty supply something. I will be exposing them. It’s not fair nor right & they have messed with the wrong one. I wish I came across this before…😡

    1. Jackie, thank you for stopping by. I hate that she keeps doing this to people despite the popularity of this blog post. We are hard working women that want to look nice. The Virgin Hair Fantasy is the reason I WILL NOT buy from a “hair company” for a long time.

  15. I am sooo happy that I came across this blog because I was just about to order from them tonight. I will just continue going to my local vendor because I have had no issues with them. And I won’t be ordering from anyone online ever. These people on YouTube lie about the hair because it’s given for free and they give them the good stuff. I also wonder about the stars that endorse the hair companies on IG. I was going to try dhairboutique.com I think that’s what it is called. Angela Simmons endorses that. She’s one of Rev. Runs daughters. But her and all the other reality stars probably get paid to mention them. I see where the lady reported them to the BBB and they sent back a reply. It sounds like unhappy customers are not complaining enough. She said they have had no prior complaints. If people complain enough, they will stop ripping people off. Extensions are expensive and it’s not fair to basically steal from people by sending them hair mixed with synthetic hair. That makes it NOT virgin hair. I’m super duper happy that I found this site because it just saved me about 500 dollars. Sorry you got taken by them but thank you for this blog because it just saved me.

    1. Thank you for stopping by. Your reply means a lot to me. I am happy that sharing my experience saved you from going through the same thing. I agree with you that more people should speak up about hair companies.

    2. Let me know what you think and what kind you order if you decide to finally go with Dhair-boutique. I have purchased (with my money lol) hair from them on numerous occasions (review on my blog) and I strongly recommend purchasing hair from them when it’s on sale. It’s kinda expensive but its good hair. I am yet to try their Burmese tho but i’ve not had any reason to look for other vendors . I also sew wigs and the clients that used their hair loved it. The weft is thick and tight that I can barely get a needle to pass through it.

      1. Yes I have the Malaysian wavy hair in now from dhair and I absolutely love it no problems whatsoever

  16. Just set up an Instagram page about my VHF experience…. @badvirginhairfantasyexperience ……if it is ok can I take some snapshots from here to place on there? Also, those with horror stories are invited to make comments on my IG page. Thanks!

  17. I really enjoyed reading your post! It is so sad to see such dishonesty with this company because they are literally shipping out cheap aliexpress hair. Unfortuntely I lost $800 on purchasing different types of hair in the past and these hair gurus ruin it for the real women trying to buy hair with our hard earned money. There is a woman named Kasey who has a company called myrawhair.com. I told her I would spread the good news about her service and hair because I honestly think that this is the best hair I have ever had. Kasey will actually talk to you and explain things in detail on her site. When you see her pictures you can tell Its actual raw hair because nothing looks the same. Anyways I loved your post and I’m sorry you lost money just like the rest of us by I thought I help those out there with some advice on a great company I found!

  18. Hi guys I am in no way affiliated with Dhairboutique but I just wanted to say that that is the only place I purchase my hair from. Her hair is literally the best. And I’ve worn weave for a LONG time. I recently had the Filipino hair I had it for two years no lie dyed it black, bleached it and it still is going strong. My mother and sister in law even asked me for it lol . I just ordered the raw Malaysian wavy and we will see how that goes but I have no doubt that I will love it. Ive done extensive research of reviews on Instagram and I’ve seen nothing but good things about the Malaysian and I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair. And she has the best customer service ever. If you’re not happy with your hair even if it is installed she will replace it. I’ve referred like 3 people and they love the hair, including my mom and she’s a weave snob too lol. Hope this helps because I totally understand. Oh yeah their shipping only takes two days. Feel free to ask me any questions.

    1. Dez,
Hi! Thank you for stopping by. I’m thinking about trying that brand soon. If I do, I will review it on this page. How long do you wear the hair at a time? How are you wearing it ( construction wise sew in or wig)? I was curious. I want to know the best ways to get longevity from the hair.

  19. Hi there, I am looking for someone like you to help spread the word about real hair. There is so much fake stuff out there. I have some real hair that I cut off a real persons head. My husband has a lumber company is south America. I cut the hair off someone’s head my self. I would like to offer you a look and see what real hair is. My email is dehna10@hotmail.com .

  20. hey girl,

The exact same thing happened to me. I purchased the wig and it came out bad. I spent a lot of money on the hair to later be disappointed.

  21. Hi, I was going to order a wig from them & am so glad that I found you. The wig is $1200+ and that’s a lot of money. I don’t need to wear wigs, I just want to change it up a bit.

  22. Please, please stay away from buying from Butler Hair Bundle Supply if you are also planning on using their coloring services. They’ll tell you they can match the closure to the bundles, make you wait for weeks, then finally send you a product that doesn’t match. They’ll then make you feel like it’s your fault. I have been a weave wearer for close to 15 years and theirs is the most disappointing service I’ve ever had. I have spent hundreds of dollars and I’m left with a product I can’t use. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, so please ladies, stay away and save your money and your time.

    1. Hey. Thank you for stopping by and sharing that info. I’ve never heard of that company but if you don’t mind me asking how is the rest of the hair?( besides the closure) Also, how did you find out about the company? What factors drew you in to make your initial purchase? ( sorry for all of the questions)

  23. I am sad to see this review so late. I have followed The Virgin Hair Fantasy for over a year on insta gram. I have never seen a bad comment and became more and more in love with the videos and thought the peruca complete would be great for a natural like me. I purchased 2 wigs at first on 11/27/15. I decided to cancel the least expensive and went withrough the wig I had wanted most. Priced at 850 dollars I expected for it to come as pictured. I sent all measurements and picture of myself. The item didn’t arrive until 2/24 which missed my birthday and valentine’s but figured I could wear it another time. I opened the box and wanted to cry. The closure part was dark didn’t match my skin tone at all the hair color was closer to a 2 or 4 instead of the black 1 or 1b expected the ends were damaged and resemble split ends and it didn’t look like the picture AT ALL. I have made several calls sent pictures and emails and still can’t get a resolution. Buyers beware this is an expensive mistake to make when purchasing with them. Due to it being a custom piece paypal can not get a refund and they refuse to accept a return and will not respond to an exchange

    1. Arisa. Hi. Thank you for stopping by. Man I hate that they are doing this to you. I have had other readers say that they have contacted the BBB on the company.

  24. I was JUST about to make a purchase from TVHF, but decided to research more reviews. After this blog, I won’t even risk taking a chance on buying from TVHF. Spending over $2000 for hair is not a risk I want to take. I was burned by another company before and never received my $800 back. So others do not make my same mistake…please do NOT buy from http://www.thehairnetwork.com or http://www.glamourlacewigs.com. Those sites are both owned by Cathy Nedd. I researched the company and her before buying, but should have researched better because she never sent me the custom wig I ordered and later took down BOTH of those websites. I occasionally see new sites with her name on it and I report to the BBB. She simply takes the sites down and starts new ones. Now, when I buy a wig, I make sure she has NOTHING to do with the company. So far, I have bought hair from http://www.myindianhair.com (which has nice hair), http://www.myhaireden.com (which is the BEST hair ever), & http://www.arjuni.com (my 1st order had GREAT hair, but my 2nd order shed like crazy & the company closes down and reopens sporadically). Good luck all in your hair search. (I want to try dhairboutiqe too, but haven’t yet.)

    1. Hi Stacy! Thank you for stopping by. Although this is my first time hearing of this lady, I am appalled by Cathy Nedd’s actions. I want to do more research on her and do a post. Also thank you for providing links to great hair.:) I have been thinking of trying dhairboutiqe but I’ve gotten so use to the aliexpress prices, Lolx. Keep me updated if you decide to try it ❤️

  25. I have also been scammed by TVHF. August 2015, I order a $1200.00 wig; geisha ice blue with $250.00 for expedited service. What I got in return for my hard earned money was a horrible product. When I called TVHF regarding the issues along with emails of photos, they agreed to correct the issue w/o refunding the expedited fee however. The rude condescending attitude was a 180 from the sweet “hair fairy” tone they initially took with me. To date I have not been able to receive a refund nor do I have the wig. TVHF did receive by FedEx the item. Which was telephonically and via email, pre authorized by a supervisor/manager for return. Their unprofessional business etiquette, lack of moral or ethics and illegal business practices are appalling to say the least. Any chance that this company take responsibility or accept the fact that customers have received defective products seems far fetched. TVHF would like to muscle us into submission with that “no refund” clause. As consumers we Do have rights, tons and tons of rights. Both State and Federal laws govern them, including protection from fraud, misrepresentation, breech of warranty, false advertising and unjust enrichment. As a consumer I trusted in TVHF promise of a high-end product. Although, I could have purchased from any number of similar companies, my reliance and ultimate decision was based on promotions by well known beauty experts with fan bases followings, the numerous YouTube videos uploaded by paid endorsements and the personal confidence provided with TVHF assigning a personal “hair fairy” to ensure I receive exactly what I want. If not for TVHF numerous, willful, and misleading tactics to gain my trust I doubt I would have made my purchase choice with them. Along with my reliance that my “hair fairy” had my best interest at heart, at no time prior to delivery, could I have reasonably known the product was defective and not what I was promised. Shame on TVHF.

    1. Susan,
Thank you for stopping by. I am truly sorry that this happened to you. Please if you could share your story along with mine to help stop this company from ripping off others. I wrote this post almost three years ago and it’s a shame that they are still up to the same tactics.
