So I finally took the big leap and had a design cut into my sidecut! I took to Facebook with a picture from pinterest of a sidecut design on natural hair. Few of my friends immediately tagged their barbers. Most of the barbers were too far away.

When my friend Antwan tagged his barber, Jay Kutti, I should have know that he was destined to cut my hair, lolx. After being tagged, Jay reached out to me via Facebook inbox with his business number to hash out the details. He was only 20 minutes away and he had been wanting to do the design that I was wanting.

Located at Hairnette’s, an Anderson SC salon and barbershop in the heart of downtown, Jay Kutti was very professional, organized and at 20.00 I must say reasonably priced. He sets appointments, very quick and as you guys see his skills are excellent! This was his FIRST time doing this design.

Quick Deets:
1.) I only paid 20.00 for the cut and design.
2.) My wait time was not long. ( Roughly 15 minutes)
3.) The process wasn’t long at all.
4.) Customer Service was excellent. Jay was very friendly and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure that ALL of his customers were satisfied with the services that they received.
5.) The atmosphere was very laid back! It truly felt like I was amongst friends. The room and his tools were very clean and fresh.
6.) He accepts debit and provides receipts!

I have decided to make him my barber and strongly feel that you all should too!

So for Lauren’s party I decided to pick up this little number or should I say pieces! I stopped by Ross with my brother and couldn’t resist shopping. I came across the bottoms first and the peplum top second. The price of the “set” was less than 10.00. I felt so accomplished, lolx.

I’m stumped on what type of shoes to wear and how to wear my hair. Let me know any thoughts below.

Birthday OOTD..Cinco De Mayo Chic

Files of Style, Mommy's Corner, parent family fashion, What she wore, What She Wore/ OOTD

Last night was my birthday! I turned the big 28 and I must say that I enjoyed myself to the max. I had a simple celebration with a few of my girls! Well you know I can’t go with out sharing my outfit with you guys.

20140506-094800.jpg

My shirt is from a local department store in my area called Hammericks. My faux leather skater skirt is from EBay. I purchased it for only 6.00 from an overseas seller. My pumps are Sam and Libby. The heel has spikes on it. They were a clearance special from Target. My head wrap is just a scarf that I purchased from my local thrift store. The hair is still the TD hair.
I feel that I am somewhat becoming good at this beatface movement. To achieve my look I use most drug store products. Let me know if you guys would like a step by step and list of the items! ( I’m not a professional at all)

Just thought I’d throw in this pic of my girls! They were snatched too❤️

What She Wore: To a Kid’s Day Party

Files of Style, Mommy's Corner, parent family fashion, What she wore, What She Wore/ OOTD

Hey guys! How is everyone? Yesterday my nephew celebrated his 2nd birthday at Chuckie Cheese. I figured that I could show you guys what I wore to his little day party!

20140223-152737.jpg

The breakdown:
Jacket: Local Thrift Store 6.00
Sweatshirt: Vintage shop Raxclothing( mini haul coming soon) 30.00
High Waisted Acid Wash Distressed Jeans: Kmart.com The Nicki Minaj Collection ( mini haul coming soon) 10.00
Turban: Scarf from Goodwill .50
Combat Boots: Kmart Bongo Collection. I got them three years ago so I think that they are no longer sold there. 35.00
Gold Chain: My grandmama gave me that chain, no really she did. I think she got it from Target. It doubles as a headband.

I figured that if I had to go to a party wear I’m chasing kids and low key trying  being a big kid myself, I had to be comfortable. I enjoyed myself and despite the fact that my nephew was freaked out by Chuckie, he had loads of fun too! What are some of your kid day party outfit ideas? I would love to hear from you guys!

Hey guys! How’s everyone tonight? I hope that everyone is staying warm tonight! I will be headed back to work tomorrow so please pray for my safe journey to and from work in all of this mess!

I wanted to stop by to let you guys know that I have new hair from an aliexpress.com vendor by the name of TD Hair! I will do a total of four post about the hair. These post will consist of an initial review, an install review, a first week review and a one month update. Now I will give mini updates about the hair weekly letting you guys know how the hair is holding up. I have not decided if I want to color the hair. If you guys would like me to do so, let me know. I will be happy to document the process!

I am excited to share this experience with you guys. This will be my first time making a u-part wig with a closure, but I have faith that it will turn out good. I will be using methods from the ladies of YouTube.

If you guys haven’t read my Virgin Hair Nightmare post please feel free to here:
