Just like Tamar Braxton‘s “Hot Sugar”, I’m late on asking this question about Kanye’s “Bound 2”. I had heard so many bad things about the video that I had to go and see what the fuss was. It had been posted on my timeline on Facebook and one of my favorite YouTuber had mentioned how much she hated it and the song.
Before I give my thoughts on this I have to say that before “Yeezus” came out, I was a HUGE Kanye fan. I have owned every Kanye album. In fact the first album I ever bought, that wasn’t a bootleg, was “My Dark Twisted Fantasy”. I still have it on my IPhone. When I heard “Yeezus”, I was disappointed. I like a few songs on the album but it wasn’t the Kanye I was use to. Something was missing.
Still can’t figure out why everyone went in on this video????
Bound 2 was one of the songs I liked. I love the Brenda Lee ” Sweet Nothing’s” sample. It’s the part that sounds a lot like Kim Kardashian saying “Uh huh honey, alright!” For the longest I thought it was her.
So I went to watch the video co starring Kim K after seeing Kanye on The Breakfast Club. I saw nothing wrong with it. I thought it was hilarious. Because I listened to the interview before hand, I was able to understand Kanye’s thought process behind the video. I’ve seen worse. I think that due to the fact that public opinion of Kim K isn’t one that is too good, people look for reasons to hate anything she does. If Kanye had casted another female as his co-star of the visual, he wouldn’t have caught as much flack! I hear a lot about how masoganistic Kanye West is and I have to disagree.(another topic for another time)
For Kicks and Giggles:
I know I’m late but how did you guys feel about Bound2? What’s the fuss? Do you guys love the song and hate the video? Do you guys hate both? I love it, if anybody cares, lolx. Oh and btw, the chrous says “Bound to falling in love” not “I am falling in love”..uh huh honey! Lolx.
So guess what day it is……..Benny Biceps Thirsty Tuesday!!!! Yes it’s actually the day when thirst is real and okay! So I am going to quench today’s dehydration with Tyler Lepley and Curtis Mayfield! I bet you guys are like “What the Hell”? Stick with me here, it will all come together below, lolx.
So yesterday “The Makings of You.” By Curtis Mayfield popped up on Itunes Radio while I was trying to find material for today’s posts. I didn’t have anymore skips. Now the funny thing is Jay-Z and Kanye sampled this song for a song on the “Watch the Throne Album.” This one one of my favorite albums of 2011 and two of my favorite songs were the song at the beginning and end. ( I actually have more than 2, hey it was a dope album) The song in the beginning was “No Church In The Wild“. This song appears everywhere even in one of Tyler Lepley YouTube videos. He even quoted what I say is Hov’s best line from this song as his caption for his Instagram photos.
Now the last song is “The Joy” featuring Pete Rock, Charlie Wilson and Kid Cudi. One of my favorite favorite parts was when Jay come in on his verse with “This is Mama’s sh#%”. That made me love this song. This is the song where they sampled “The Makings Of You.”
Now how do Curtis and Tyler mesh. Well I never really liked the song by Curtis Mayfield until I had a chance to listen to it yesterday and listened to the words. While I listened to the words and how sweet they were someone popped in my head and a picture showed up in my Twitter Timeline of a gentleman wearing a pair of Jordan Sneakers. Jordan sneakers are the favorite shoe of that someone who popped up. ( That I am pissed off at right now) He favors the guy in the picture. The guy in the picture was Tyler Lepley. It happened to have always been one of my favorite pictures of Tyler. Now do you guys see how everything relates? Isn’t it just grand??? You guys know how I love the power of coincidence. Now this song will forever remind me of Tyler, lolx.

Listen to the words of this song. They are beautiful beyond belief. I can’t begin to describe the feeling I get when I hear this song. I was actually moved by some of the comments on the video.
So I am sure that we are all familiar with that good old pharase that our parents taught us “You can’t turn a hoe into a housewife.” Well I acutally learned that from the Dogg Pound but thats another story. Back on pace, we are always taught as little girls that we needed to watch ourselves because no man wants to buy the cow when he can get the milk for free. I will say that I didn’t always listen to my mama and I find myself wishing that I had. Then I look at the rock on Kim K’s hand and say is there hope?
So are we to throw out the old “Respect Yourself” motto and do what ever it takes to get to the top? Is Steve Harvey‘s teaching for the birds now or did Kim K read his book? What are your thoughts guys? So in the spirit of the holidays I would love to know can you turn a trick into a treat?
*Now in all fairness, I have always said thank God for change, you never know the whole story until you’ve lived it and everyone has that someone for them! We make a lot of jokes about Kim K and other women such as Amber Rose calling them the unthinkable at times but we do not know the whole picture of these women’s lives. These women could be potrayed in the media as something that they are not.*
Anyways, Sweet Baby LeBron look at that ring!
Who remembers this jacket from the Versace for H&M collection made very popular by style icon Mr. Kanye West? Well I got a blast from the past from my friend last night when he asked me where could I find it? I posted the picture on my Facebook wall and I got another request to find this jacket! Well with bombers being hot right now and Migos and Drake introducing the younger generation to the expensive brand Versace through their hit of the same name, why wouldn’t anyone have me hunt for this jacket? Well never fear guys! Despite the fact that this jacket sold out on the day of it’s 2011 release, there’s a beautiful site called ebay that has almost everything. Now the prices I found are pricey, so I did find vintage inspired pieces as well.
Listing for the Jacket:
This site had the jacket for less but its sold out. I am still featuring this site because they have the best vintage:

So the Dare or Spare question must come in! Will you guys dare to rock this jacket or spare it and move on? I want to hear from you guys!
